1. Who we are

Firstthree is run by Federico D'Antonio, doing business as Firstthree. Questions about your data go to hello@firstthree.net.

2. What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, an optional name, your answers to the two setup questions, and your settings.
  • If you joined the private beta with an invite code and a password: the code you used, and only a scrambled, one-way form of your password, which nobody can read back. We send no email to your address until you confirm it by signing in once with an emailed code.
  • Videos you upload. The file is deleted as soon as its grade is saved unless you choose to keep it. By default we keep up to twelve small still images from the moments a grade cites, so the report can show them; you can turn that off, and they are deleted with the video.
  • Takes you upload to the hook lab. Only the first five seconds of each is watched, and every take is deleted as soon as the comparison is saved. We keep up to four small still images per take for the results page; they are deleted with the comparison.
  • What a grade is made of: the transcript of the audio, the scores, and the notes behind them. Also your answers to “was this useful” and “disagree with this score”, which we read to improve the grader, and any share links you create with how often they were opened.
  • Your learning: which lessons you marked done and your answers to practice questions.
  • If you use the community: the name you pick for it and your niche, which other members see instead of your name or email; the before-and-afters you choose to share (a score before and after, and your note, never the video); your replies, pod messages, kudos, and reactions; challenges you join; and reports and blocks you make. A second opinion shares that one report with your pod through a link you can turn off. The two people running Firstthree can hide anything that breaks the rules.
  • How the product is used, such as uploads, report views, and sign-ins, recorded by us, tied to your account, and used only to improve the product.
  • The two people running Firstthree can see each account's name, email, plan, when it last signed in, and how many videos it uploaded and had graded, and, for accounts made during the private beta, the invite code used and any survey answers. Nobody else can.
  • For security: a scrambled, one-way form of your network address, used to stop abuse and deleted after two days, and records of your sign-in sessions.
  • If you pay: your plan and a reference to your customer record at Stripe. Card details go to Stripe and never reach us.
  • If you turn on notifications for a device: the address your browser gives us to reach it, and which browser it is. Turning them off, or deleting your account, removes it.

3. What we never do

  • Sell your data or share it for advertising.
  • Use advertising or third-party tracking tools.
  • Estimate views, sales, or earnings from your videos.

4. Who else handles it

A few companies process data on our behalf, only to run the service:

  • AI service providers, which process what you upload to produce your grade.
  • Resend, which delivers our emails.
  • Stripe, which handles payments.
  • Your browser's own push service (Apple, Google, Mozilla, or Microsoft), only if you turn on notifications for a device. It relays a notification it cannot read: the message is encrypted for your browser.
  • Fly.io, which runs the app and holds each upload until its grade is saved.
  • Neon, which hosts our database.

We only use AI providers whose terms for business customers forbid training their models on what we send them. They may keep it for a limited time for safety and abuse monitoring under their own policies.

5. Cookies and your browser

We set one cookie, ft_session, which keeps you signed in for up to thirty days. It is strictly necessary, so we do not show a consent banner. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

When you upload a video or a hook lab take, your browser keeps its own copy so the results can play it back after we delete ours. It stays on your device, is never sent to us again, and only the five newest videos and the five newest takes are kept. Deleting the video, the comparison, or your account removes it, and so does clearing this site's data in your browser.

6. How long we keep it

  • Uploaded files: until the grade is saved, unless you choose to keep them.
  • Grades, still images, learning progress, and notes: until you delete them or your account.
  • Scrambled network addresses: two days.
  • Payment records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • What each grade cost us: kept after you delete your account, with nothing that points to you, because our spending limits count it.
  • We keep a one-way fingerprint of your email (not the address) so the one free grade can't be claimed twice, even after an account is deleted.
  • In a team: videos you graded in a team's workspace are the team's, and stay with it if you leave. Deleting your account deletes them too.

7. Your choices

  • Download your data as one file, or delete a video or your whole account, from your account page. A report graded on Free downloads as its page shows it, with the transcript of your audio.
  • Turn off any optional email with one click from the email itself, or in your settings.
  • Change your name and settings at any time.

For anything else, including deletion if you can no longer sign in, write to hello@firstthree.net. We answer within thirty days.

8. Children

Firstthree is for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone younger, and we delete it if we learn we have.

9. Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will ask you to read and accept the new version the next time you sign in.
